question about discount dates

To get the discount or special offer, does your entire stay have to be within the qualifying dates, or just start then? For example, for the gift card promo, it's good for stays until 6/3. If I booked a stay starting on 6/2 but going through, say, 6/7, would I still get the gift card? Thanks!

Some discounts are a "check in by" kinda' deal... like the GC promotion. It is usually when the deal is for a package booking. However, on a room discount offer, the deal is only good for the dates specified, and will not cover the full trip. Make sense?
