Question about Dining with an Imagineer?

We are going down in May just me and my DH and I know he would love dining with an Imagineer, can nayone give me info about it and where I can book it??

You should be able to book this through Disney - I forget at the moment if I went through Dining or Reservations, but either one can tell you if they can do it or if you need to call the other.

I did this with DD, who was 7 at the time. I was interested and she wanted to be an inventor, so she was more than happy to go. The food was wonderful and the chef doublechecked with us about food preferences or allergies. The Imagineer was really great about trying to include DD in the conversation, though I wish I could say the same about the other adults at the table, who were mainly nice enough, but seemed much more interested in fawning over the Imagineer than anything else. One couple even clucked disapprovingly when the Imagineer asked where we were all staying and I replied that we were at Pop. They sure changed their tune when he said that Pop was his favorite resort of all because of the theming......

All in all, it was an experience I'm glad we did. The food was impressive, our Imagineer was very nice, and DD didn't stop grinning all day. I don't think we need to do this on every trip, but I'd recommend at least trying it. A lot depends on the company, but unless you have 8 in your group, you can't control that, so just go and enjoy.

My best friend and I did Dining with Imagineer this past month. We ate in the Bamboo Room (a private dining room) at Brown Derby. It was 7 adults and 1 teenager. We booked through Disney Dining exactly 30 days out. We had a wonderful time and would do it again.

Just wanted to add to what Shanan said. I tried booking this tour a month ago for a feb dinner and was told 1. You cant book this any farther out than 30 days and that you should book it as soon as you can at that point because it fills up. 2. If for some reason you are the only one booked for a date , they will inform you near the date that it is cancelled but that is extremely rare. 3. You will have to pay with credit card at time of booking. 4. As of a month ago they said they were only offering lunches and no dinners but that may change. 5. It is offered only on certain days.

You can book it through dining res or tour reservations(although they dont consider it a tour)
