Question about dining plan?

I had thought that we had a somewhat plan figured out for our trip next year, but, we still are conflicted. My question is, if we book our room with Disney directly, but get our tickets at a discount through somewhere like Undercover Tourist, can we still add a dining plan???

OR...do you need to book the entire package with Disney?? This is all so confusing

You can book a ticketless package with a room and dining plan, but you'll have to call, you can't book those online.

Also just wanted to throw out there because I didn’t know this until this trip that if you decide to rent dvc points you can add the dining plan too! I always learn something new

You can buy the dining plan, but you won’t get free dining.

Correct. I didn’t know she was referring to fd. I just booked rental points and didn’t know dp was an option until I booked
