I have a question about the deluxe DDP.

If my DH and I go on a 4 night / 5 day trip to WDW, will we each get 12 or 15 dining credits?

Can we use them in any way we choose? For instance if we want to go to signature meals 3 nights, can we each use 6 credits for that and then use our remaining ones for lunches and breakfasts at quick service or table service?

Not sure about how many credits you would get but i think it goes on nights that you stay so i would have thought it would be 12 each?
In answer to how you use the credits you can use them however you want, so you could do sigs everynight and use the other credit for TS or QS as your credits can be used for either!

It's 12 credits and you can use them as you wish when you wish same goes for snacks. We used most of our snacks the few last days for take home stuff as we barely touched the snacks credit during our stay.

As the others have said, you will each have 12 credits to use any way you want :). We always got the regular DDP and tried the DlxDDP this past December and we loved it :goodvibes. I thought it would be too much food, but it actually worked out perfect :thumbsup2. Now we will only go with the deluxe plan ;).

If you are at all concerned about a budget, I would look at the menus and determine how much meals would cost OOP versus DxDP as well as paying partially OOP with the regular DDP. I think it's pretty close to break even and that's with almost all TS meals. Considering how large portions are and how long meals take- 1 hour minimum, I don't think it would be worth it. I had the DxDP booked in February and had to move our trip to April and switched to the regular plan.

Assuming "proper" usage of the DxDDP (that is all 4 meal entitlements, App, Entree, Dessert, Drink, and no sharing), the "break even" point (the point at which what you've paid for the DxDDP roughly equals what has been covered by it) is at about 2/3 of your credits spent at TS locations. Obviously this fluctuates some based on where and how you actually spend those credits, but it's a good general rule that's been backed up by the math.

Of course, that's assuming that you're already planning to eat the way the plan is designed (3 courses + drink), so certainly some level of analysis if you'd even take advantage of the DxDDP first is called for :).

(And for the same itinerary at roughly this 2/3 mark, getting DDP and paying OOP will likely be more costly, assuming again the same entitlements used, this is because the credits on DDP actually cost more per TS than they do on DxDDP due to the way the plan is designed.)

If you are planning even one signature restaurant I think the DxDP is the way to go. On the regular dining plan you would be using up 2TS credits and you would still have to pay OOP for an appetizer. If you are doing signature you need an app. Its part of the meal. Its a requirement, IMO.
