Question about "defective" coins....

Hi DISers!

I'm hoping someone can help me out here: DH and I were looking through our coins a few months ago and we found a couple of coins that look like something may be "wrong" on them. Does anyone know if there is a website where I can find a list of coins that were minted incorrectly? Also, can anyone help me with a book or website that gives the value of certain coins?

Tracy - There are a couple of reputible coin dealers here in NE Ohio that I am sure could help you out. It has been a long time since I have dabbled in collecting coins. I am too busy spending them these days. I think your best bet would be to head to either Solon or Bedford and see what the coin dealers think of your defective coins. Then you would have a definitive answer.

My DH has the evening off for a change (no pun intended ) so we thought we would start doing some preliminary research into the coins and how much they are worth. Could be a way to get some money for our trip to WDW in December.

Once we get the preliminary research done, then we'll check the phone book for coin dealers in the Solon and Bedford areas.
