Question about Deck 8 room on the Magic

I was looking at the deck plan, we are in cabin 8554. Between 8554 and 8552 it looks like there is a space. Anyone know what this is? I'm kinda curious, mostly if it is some kind of equipment in there that would be loud. It doesn't look like it would make the room smaller....

Strong wall. A " bulkhead"

Every so often there is this wall reinforced to divide the ship up, if there was an emergency or flooring and the corridor doors will close at that point.

Bulkheads in a ship serve several purposes:

• increase the structural rigidity of the vessel,
• divide functional areas into rooms and
• create watertight compartments that can contain water in the case of a hull breach or other leak.
• some bulkheads and decks are fire-resistance rated to achieve compartmentalisation, a passive fire protection measure.

Could it also be the attachment point of the two sections of the ship as it was built in two parts?
