Question about deals

Hello All.
First my question. I have read posts that say something like "I'll book my trip and continue looking for deals to apply later". My question is this: if I book a trip through AAA for Oct 06 and Disney comes out with a great deal, can I apply the new pricing to my already booked trip?
And, I was in Orlando this weekend on business and went to Chef Mickey's for breakfast on Sat!!! Very cool. I got a hug and kiss from Mickey.
:love2:

If you book through AAA (or any travel agent) it can be a real hassle if a deal comes out later. First, you would have to keep looking for the deals yourself because they will not. Second, your original reservation may have to be cancelled and re-booked which can be a real pain via a travel agent. There may also be some fees due to the travel agency.
You can book directly with Disney a room only reservation and if a deal comes out you can call and ask for it to be applied. Note that Disney only allows a certain number of rooms per resort for any deals.

We used (and will continue to use) a Disney specialist we found on mousesaver.com. WDWVacations.com (Small World Travel) got us a AAA discount last year. As time went on two better deals came out and they cancelled and re-booked our reservations (always with our permission) and finally ended up saving us $800.00. They keep looking for deals until your trip to see if they can save you money. They also made all our dining reservations for us. Great people and great service. Can't do better yourself unless you have the time to keep on top of deals. The best thing is that the service is FREE!
I highly recommend them. I have better things to do than try to keep on top of these things myself.

We used Small World Vacations as well. I am hoping that they find us some discounts before our '06 Trip!!

If you book a room only through Disney, can you still get AAA discount, or do you have to book thru AAA? I am planning a trip for 10/06 and would like a room only, but if the right pkg deal comes out, would consider holding onto my no-exp tickets and getting pkg.

Actually, I'm a TA and I do look out for deals for my customers. In fact I just saved a customer over $1100 on a trip he had booked for March when the new codes came out. We don't charge a fee either. I do dining ADRs and keep an eye out for the best airfare. It all depends on your TA. We're not all the same. :earsboy:

You can get the AAA discount for a room only reservation through Disney. Call CRO and tell them you want a room only reservation. At times they will ask for your AAA membership number and other times they won't.

I highly resent this. I AM an AAA TA and I DO look out for new codes for my clients. Dont put all of us in one category. Also, you probably got a deal on your room only, but to get the AAA package deals (I just saved a client over 600 dollars) you DO have to book through AAA.
