Question about DDP

I am going to Disney for the first time October 26-November 6th. I have been planning everything like crazy and am still so undecided on the DDP. There are only 5 places that I plan on making ressies for. CRT, O'hana best friends character breakfast, Plaza, 50's prime time and sci-fi. My main concern about doing the DDP is that I have noticed on some of the threads people mentioned that they were also charged on their KTTW. Has this happened to a lot of people? I would probably be paranoid and want a print out everyday to make sure this didn't happen. Would the hotel get mad at that? I am staying at Pop Century, just me and my mom for a mother/daughter vacation and were both soooo excited:yay:
I have been lurking on these boards for about 3 months and can't believe how much info I have gotten from everyone! Thanks! :thumbsup2

I have used the DDP for the past few years and have never had a problem about having it charged on our KTTW card. I would just make sure you communicate well to the wait staff if you would like to pay with KTTW/credit card or use your dining plan and double check when you leave the restaurant that it all worked out. By the way, you may want to think about paying for some of your 2 TS places (CRT, character meals) yourself and save the credits for 2 other meals. The cost of CRT out of pocket would definitely be less than two other meals out of pocket.

Thanks! I have seen many people post that using 2 ts credits for CRT isn't worth it and you should pay out of pocket. I think if I were to do that, then the DDP probably isn't worth it for me. Considering I am only going to be making 5 adr's!

It looks like you have a pretty long vacation. If you plan at eating at the disney restaurants often, the DDP may still be worth it if you are going to use a TS for some breakfasts or lunch. A sit down meal for breakfast and for dinner on the same day is not that big of a deal, whereas, lunch and dinner may be too much food that quickly. So if you plan on paying for CRT and O'hana, you only have 2 extra TS credits to use up over 10 days. On the other hand, if you would rather prepares meals in your room and don't plan on dining out all of the time, then I would agree that the DDP would not be good for you. Good luck!

You are there 11 nights and would only be using 6 TS credits (and 3 of those-CRT and the breakfast aren't the "best" use of credits).

To break even with the DDP, you really need to use 11 TS if you are there 11 nights (even if some are breakfast or 2 credits, you really need to use the credits)...it doesn't sound like you will do that...
