Question about DDP entitlements

Hi all,

I need help settling a tiny argument between myself and DH .

Our family is arriving on separate days and we have separate rooms. DH and I arriving first for ten nights and DD,DS, DM, DDBF arriving five nights later for a total of five nights. Two separate reservations.

DH wants the DDP. I keep telling him I will not eat that much. He keeps telling me that any extra CS or TS we can use for the kids when they arrive. I keep telling him that at a TS we won't be able to use any more than 2 credits because that is the number of adults on the DDP in our room. He says no. He believes that if we have 4 TS credits, for arguments sake, we can use all four at one seating - meaning paying for kids with our DDP.

I keep telling him no can do. He refers me to CS and snacks. I tell him that is different.

Can someone help me here?

You cannot order more meals than the number of people listed on your KTTW card. Your KTTW card will say 2A. You can only order 2 adult meals at one time. In other words,

I am actually not sure if that is correct... I have heard of other people buying TS meals for another table with extra credits left over (kind of a pay it forward kind of thing).

Officially, you are not to use credits for anyone that is not on the dining plan, and not in the same room. This is Disney's policy, therefore, it is the official policy of Disboards, as well.

well, good to know! I never have any TS credits left over, so it is never a problem for us...

I don't know how those other people "gave" theirs away then.

I am not sure how much that policy is followed. On more than one occasion we have used more Adult TS credits at one sitting than we had in our room... but as I recall, my wife would stand in one line to use 2 credits while I was in another line using 1.. hum.. that might have been her work around.

I also remember having 4 or 5 TS leftover one year and we simply used all 5 right before we headed for the BUS.. We took them in a bag to eat on the plane ride home.. honest!

I understand....the problem is what is the official policy vs. what could be done. I made four calls to WDW and got two answers saying yes and two saying no. Finally I spoke to guest services and got the full picture. Since their answer was probably not something I can put on the boards, PM me if you want to hear what they said.

Bottom line for me.....I'm winning this at home war!
