Hello all! I'm headed to the most magical place on Earth Sept.9, 2012 (the Poly!!!) and have the DDP.

I've never had the DDP before so I'm confused as to what counts as a beverage. An example I keep seeing is the strawberry smoothie and Bailey's dessert at Coral Reef ... are these considered beverages or paid out of pocket?

Also, in order to utilize my snack credits as best a possible, I am going to search for those AMAZING looking cupcakes and cinnamon rolls at Main St. Bakery, but I wanted to ask the best use of a snack credit in Epcot? Preferably for breakfast.

Thanks amazing DISers -without you guys, I'd be lost!

Not sure about the snack credit.

When we were there this summer we were only able to get soda, bottle water, tea or coffee at most places. While at HS we ate at Sci-Fi and they didnt charge us extra for the milkshake but it counted as our desert. Hope this helps you. If you arent sure of something, just ask them while you are there and they are happy to answer any of your questions.

For the snacks go to the sub forum under this one called Disney Dining Plan. At the top there is a sticky about all the things that count as a snack credit. Lots and lots available. Try some of the pastries in France.

It was my experience that only pop, coffee, tea for you drink. The nice thing about it is that your server will be happy to anser any questions for you. One thing I will tell you is at counter service you have to ask for a large or they will give you a small. They both count the same on the plan, but you might as well get the large. Also at the MK get a Dole Whip float it's a snack credit and boy is it good. You get it in Adventureland at I think over by Aladins Carpets.

In most cases, the beverage on the dining plan is limited to soda (Coke products), coffee, or tea. None of the specialty drinks are usually included. You can often get the smoothies or milk shakes as a dessert. There are a few exceptions - like you can get the milk shakes as a drink at Whispering Canyon. I doubt you can get any the specialty coffees on the DDP (either as a drink or dessert). You will probably have to pay out of pocket.

(There are two Bailey's options in Coral Reef's menu: the mousse and the coffee. You can get the mousse for your dessert, but I assumed you were asking about the Nutty Fisherman coffee.)

Your breakfast options are limited at Epcot - you can try Sunshine Seasons, but they don't have as much as the bakery in terms of pastries. If you can wait until 11 or so, the Kringla (Norway) and Pattisserie (France) have excellent options.

Thank you all! I'm going to check out the menus and read some more DDP-related threads!

On the dining plan you are entitled to one non-alcoholic beverage such as soda, coffee, tea, lemonade. At some restaurants you can get a milk shake, smoothie (usually no refill) or virgin cocktail. You'll have to ask at each restaurant.

At the Coral Reef there is a mousse dessert made with Bailey's which can be ordered as the dessert component of your TS meal. There are also several cocktails/after dinner drinks that contain Bailey's, but since these are alcoholic drinks you would have to pay OOP for them.

Thanks! I checked out another thread that helped clear some of my questions up but I'm going to ask the server at any places I'm unsure of.
