Question about DDE and Adult drinks?

I know that you get 20% percent off of all food and drinks (even wine and such). I would like to know if we just went to participating restaurant/bars and just ordered drinks can we use the DDE? Also, would they tack on the 18% gratuity just for drinks? Thanks for all responses! I also need to know if we can purchase just one card and have it count toward the whole bill or will we each have to have the DDE card?

Yes, you can use it just for drinks as long as the venue is a participant, and yes, they will add the 18% gratuity (it goes on ALL DDE bills except participating counter service). One card can cover up to 10 people but everything must go on one bill - they can't split the check and apply one DDE.

I was in one lounge where they forgot to add the gratutity, so make sure it's on there.

Thanks for the info . I noticed that you are going to the west coast soon. My mom lived in San Fran for years, are you heading to that area? Ahh, I miss my once a year visits to city and the wine country

At the Tambu Lounge in WDW we had drinks, wings and bread appies and the bartender did not add the 18% tip. At the bar next to the Yachstman we ordered 2 drinks and the waitress added the 18% tip.

I say check your receipt every time.

oh, i love the dde card. we used it on all 6 trips last yr and it paid for itself the 1st trip. we all pitched in for 1 card and did 1 ticket at our table. we went to the river roost @ POR to watch Bob and we had appetizers and drinks and used the dde card. we used it on all of our alcohol beverages. don't forget you can use it towards your refillable mug. we used it a lot at pop's food court too. i just love it!
