When we cruised in 2002, the drink station didn't have soda. I understand that now you don't have to purchase the souvenir mugs to get free soda.

My question is about the type/size of cups for the soda at the drink station.

Are they small? Medium? Large? Do they have lids/straws?

My DH will get good use from this new freebie, so I need to know if I need to pack a sports bottle or something, in case there are tiny paper cups for the soda.

Thanks!

The cold cups are probably about 16 ounces, and they have lids and straws available. They are your typical paper-with-thin-plastic-coating type of cold cups

The hot cups are the same as the ones they use at WDW -- probably 12 ounce cups, and made of a very thin styrofoam. They also have lids -- the good sippy lids like Starbucks uses. We used the hot cups for our toddler when we didn't have a sippy cup on hand.

Hi Dodie.

They are medium sized cups with lids and straws available. My DD and I used our refillable mugs-from the resort-for the drink station.

We took cups because we had read the cups were small, but we found them to be fine and never used the cups I packed.

It is a nice addition to the cruise. We really enjoyed the new soda station!

Thanks to everyone very much for answering me so quickly! The cups sound like they will suffice. One less thing to pack! Hooray!

I love a lot of ice in my beverage so I brought along a Dunkin Donut's plastic cup....the kind you get when you get an iced coffee...I loved it because I could fill it with ice and still have a decent amount of beverage...
