Question about CRT

Why are there more characters at breakfast and lunch but not dinner? We understand dinner is not considered a character meal at CRT. However, there is a floor show during dinner, with the Fairy Godmother and the Mice, so most people would still view it as a character meal. What I'm wondering is why would the most expensive of the three meals at the castle not have all the princesses there? Doesn't it seem counter-intuitive?

Well, I think that the dinner at CRT is being changed to a princess-bedecked character meal, similar to breakfast and lunch.

There was a thread on this board on that very topic.... and several people were upset about it. They like the Fairy Godmother theme.

Me, personally, I think that consistency isn't necessarily a bad idea. I almost booked dinner last year at CRT (it was my first trip), luckily the CM taking my reservation gave me the heads up that the princesses would NOT be there. So we wound up at Akershus instead.

I enjoyed the meal with the Fairy Godmother and the mice- it was a nice change- the girls go to dance with the mice, and it was nice to have a "character" that could actually be silly, funny, an little sarcastic with people- it was great fun!

Not to mention that it is a lot quieter than the other two meals! DH and I prefer dinner because it seems to us to be a "nicer" meal than breakfast and lunch. We had our anniversary dinner there in 2007 and although a lot of people won't agree, we found it to be rather romantic. They decorated our table, gave us wine glasses and we had a table that overlooked Fantasyland.

I'm seriously going to hate it if they really are changing the dinner. As repetitive as it sounds since I've posted it before , isn't breakfast and lunch at the castle (as well as all 3 meals at Akershus) enough princess time?

It will supposedly change to all princesses, all the time, all three meals as of February, there's been one report of February 7. The report is that there will be no more show at dinner, it will be just like the other meals with Cinderella photo op and princesses visiting tables. I assume that for awhile they thought something different for dinner would be appealing.

Well this just might tip the scale for a dinner instead of lunch at CRT during our next trip. We've been there for dinner with the Fairy Godmother and Mice. DD was wondering why we got to see more princesses at Arkeshus than at CRT. I was going to try for a lunch ressie next time but now we'll try for a dinner one instead.
