Question about crowds this Friday, Sept. 25

So we're here now and it's very, VERY hot! But also not very crowded. Tomorrow we're off to Legoland and then back here Friday to ride Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion. I know it will be a lot more crowded on Friday....but I don't know exactly how crowded we should be prepared for. We'd like to not get here until early afternoon and then stay to see the fireworks (the kids will never make it to the fireworks if we get here at opening). Those are really the only two rides we need to, as it will be our fifth day. Should I worry that fastpasses will already be gone for the day if we don't get here until afternoon? I guess that's my main worry....if the only things we do are HM, SM, and then wander around looking at stuff it will be fine; I just don't want to spend 4 hours in line with 3 crazy boys, you know? So--any thoughts? TIA!

we were just there all day on the 18th and it was really dead for a friday. didn't see any waits posted at any time over 30 min, even in the evening, and most were 15-20 or less.

i hope it's not very crowded! we'll be there in the park around 5pm...dinner at cafe orleans then hope to see the fireworks show later on.

I'm not worried about it being a Friday so much as it being the day Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion reopen. But it sounds like maybe I'm overworrying? I hope so!

yeah, Rockin Roller Coaster was pretty big... i cant imagine what it is gona be like...

Im gonna go ride it tomorrow night. Ill let you guys know how it is.

I would expect it to be crowded. Normally, a Friday night gets busy around 3/4ish. However, you are talking about opening day for long-awaited Halloween fun. You may get lucky because of the heat, but I would expect crowds. It won't be a normal Friday.
