question about cp free park passes

If you guys wait a couple weeks after your DD check's into the program you can start getting her discount on the Room and use her Maingate with the tickets on it. Just something to help ya out!

What kind of discount do you get on the room?

We live about 7-8 hours away, so I imagine that we'll have to wait a little longer than two weeks to go back down there - darn it!!!

The used to give the maingates out during check-in, but they are now mailing them about 2-3 weeks after you check-in. This is according to people who are on the program now.

You can get in yourself as soon as you have a WDW Cast ID, but you won't have your maingate until a bit after you start.

Thanks glendalais! :)

khancock, So you're saying that we can go into the parks once we have our ID, but our family will have to wait until they mail us the passes? Do cast members get special access (as in just go in and ride) to rides like Space Mountain/Everest or do we have to wait like everybody else with Fastpass.

This ticket can be used hop from MK to HS, but if you, say, get it drenched on Splash Mountain, you might have problems as it won't scan through the system at HS. Now, it's always possible that they may issue you a new one as it happens to guests all the time, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Yea I was wondering how ppl protect their cell phones when they're on wet rides...then I thought, why don't you put it in a plastic sandwich bag? (cell and pass) Right?

Yes, that's basically it. In the off chance that you need a Main Entrance Pass more quickly, there is a procedure to obtain one that involves visiting the Walt Disney World Resort Ticketing Office in Celebration, Fla., but generally you have to wait until it arrives in the Post.

Generally, Cast Members have to wait in established Guest lines, and don't enjoy preferential access as a matter of course. The reason for this is simple: The Walt Disney Company and Affiliated Companies employs over 150,000 people, 60,000 of whom are employed directly by the Walt Disney World Resort. We simply don't have the capabilities to extend preferential access to all of them.

Thanks again glendalais, luckily, Disney has Fastpass on their major attractions. :)

if it gets wet just go to guest relations, it happened to my mom cuz hers wasn't working, and they got her a new one

I wouldn't keep any form of ticket or pass in the same bag as your cell phone. :) It demagnetizes the strip on it and makes it not work anymore. I learned that the hard way.
