Question about configuration of 4B room.

I am a bit confused about the room configuration in rooms that sleep 4 versus five. I called DCL and the person told me what he believed was the answer, but said he was not positive. I am guessing someone here can help me.

I booked a 4b on the dream for 2013, a deluxe family verrandah. It says sleeps four or five. When I called, the man I spoke to said our particular room (8100) sleeps 4. Which is fine, we are a family of four. But, the description of that category of room says it has an upper berth, some have a wall pull down bed. I want the upper berth, not the pulldown. From pictures/floor plans I have found it looks like the wall pull down is right next to the balcony. We have younger children and will likely be putting them down for the night and then sitting on our balcony to relax for a while, so I do not want one of them in a bed right next to the balcony. My son sleeps in a top bunk at home as, so I am sure the upper berth will be fine for him. The rep I spoke to said he thought all rooms had upper berths, but he was not sure if some had wall pull downs instead of upper berths. I think I am safe in the room I picked, just wondering if someone can confirm this for me so I can put it out of my mind.

Thanks!

Unless you can find someone who has stayed in that exact room I don't think you will be able to find out for sure. :confused3 What I would do if I were you, unless you are set on that exact room, is book one that you know holds 5 and then you will know for sure that you have the bunk beds. If you go under your cruise date and start a new booking for 5 people and go to your category you will be able to see which cabins are available that hold 5 people.

The rooms that sleep four will have the upper berth. Only the ones that sleep five have the bed that pulls down from the wall to accommodate the fifth person

I have heard conflicting reports. There have been posts on here that some people have had rooms that have had the murphy bed but not the upper berth. Which is why the website states "in most" in regards to the upper berth, there are some that don't have them. :confused3

Thanks! That sounds like a good way to go. Neither I nor the person I spoke to thought of that solution. Figured one of the people here would have a answer or solution for me:)

This is true on the Magic/Dream but as posted...may be different on the Dream/Fantasy.

I stayed in 9074 a cat 4A on the Dream and it only slept 4. We did have both the bunk and the convertible sofa, no murphy bed. YMMV

I agree. I have searched via google and several other cruise sites, and I can't find any reviews that give specific info as to the configuration. Have a great trip!

We stayed in a 4B in June on the Dream. Our room slept 5 and had the bunk beds and a murphy bed. Ourt friends (next door also in a 4B) room slept 4 and did NOT have a murphy bed. We were in rooms 8104 and 8106. I hope that helps.

Can someone tell me about the set up for room 8104 on the Disney Dream
We are a family of 5
thanks

If you have 5 people the configuration would be the queen bed, sofa bed, bunk bed, and murphy bed.
