Question about codes for Disney Visa

Okay, this may have been asked before, if so, sorry !

If I book our vacation now for Sept 2010, if free dining is offered I can call Disney and ask that they apply the offer to our reservation. Here's the weird question. On mousesavers, it looks like ( from the historical discounts) that Disney Visa card holders were offered a room discount in June. Well, if that worked out to save more $$, could I switch offers without it confusing everything or having to cancel everything ?
We're going to stay at the GF, so a room discount would save us more than free dining would. Now, that being said, I'd be grateful for ANY kind of discount!!! thanks to everyone ! Jill

Yes, if you book a trip and a deal comes out that coincides with your dates, you can call Disney and ask that it be applied. Most of the time, it is not an issue in any way. On occasion, some people had to change room types as the original room booked was not included in the promotion.
