We're going to DL in August and want to go to SW, SDZ, and USH. :cool1: I'm thinking of buying a City Pass. My DD wants to go to the stuff in San Diego
1st and finish in DL. Do I have to go into DL and use one of the 3 days to get the Southern California City Pass or can I redeem them in San Diego? Any help would be greatly appreciated.:goodvibes

From what I understand, it depends on where you buy it from. Some of them dont matter- such as costco (which has the best price by the way). But, if you buy it from, say, Universal I think you need to use your first day there. Someone on this board got theirs from a travel site, like travelocity, and had to go to Disney to exchange it.

Linda is right. You can buy your citypass at any of the places that are on it. Costco does have the best deal for it. NEVER buy it online from Citypass.com. You are charged full price AND shipping costs. I would go through Costco. You do not need to be a member to purchase them.

We just bought 6 CPs from Costco. You can mix things up any way you choose, just as long as you redeem/complete your trip within 14 days.

USH is more expensive, but they are offering a free second day and $100 in savings if you purchase your CPs through them. You must attend that park first though.

We ordered ours online from USH (to get the 2nd free day, etc) & paid to have the ticket booklets shipped to us. According to their site: "If you purchase your Southern California CityPass using Print@Home ticketing, your ticket must be redeemed FIRST at Universal Studios Hollywood, where you will receive your tickets to the other attractions. " I am pretty sure that that means that once you have the tickets in your hand (which we do since we had then shipped to us) you are okay to start where ever you choose. Someone please correct me if I am wrong! Thanks! :confused3

Sounds like Costco has a great deal though (edited to add: Wow! They do really have great prices on the City Pass! I just looked online!). I didn't look into it as I am from Canada & didn't want to have to worry about getting tickets once we arrived in the U.S. (not sure if we would even have been able to).

Does anyone know the dollar amount printed on your Disneyland ticket if you buy from costco?
We want to upgrade our 3 day parkhoppers to 4 day parkhoppers and want to know how much it would cost.
Thanks very much.

I too have a questions about the CityPass. Because the CityPass has a 3 day DL park hopper as part of it does anyone know if one of those days you get the early admission like the regular 3 day park hopper? TIA!

Yes you get one day early admission with your CityPass.

We bought ours online through USH, printed them at home and had to go there first but if you have them delivered before your trip you can do the parks in any order.

We didn't use our 2nd day free for USH or any of the $100 in coupons, but the priority boarding pass for the studio tour was awesome. The lines in the afternoon for the tour were close to 2 hrs long.

Oh yes! I forgot about the priority boarding pass! That was another resaon I went through USH. Great to know that it does come in handy like I thought it would. :)
