We have reservations for dinner at the Royal Table. My question is, it's my daughter's birthday and was wondering what they offer if anything to celebrate the occasion. We would like to make that evening special for her. Do I need to make them aware of it before coming? Thanks for any advise :)

:thumbsup2 I would definately phone up and make sure it says on your reservation that it is your daughters birthday and then see if any magic happens

We celebrated our anniversary in the castle and we didn't get anything special for it, but we still had an amazing time and we really enjoyed it!

Yea call DD and let them note the ressie! Then remind them when you check in that its a childs bday! I bet they will throw some pixie dust on the table, leave a special bday card, princess will make a big deal and maybe even get a special dessert. I went for breakfast on my day and got a table near a window where I could see Fantasyland and the princess all told my happy bday and I got card. Made my 31st bday special..lol

Don't go for the special "birthday cake" (a $40 upgrade). They come out of the freezer and can be pretty yucky, and not worth the $$.

Just let them know about the birthday and wait for some magic.

We ate there on my birthday last year and they decorated the table with confetti and gave me a card and cake. DH told them it was my birthday when we checked in and we also had them note it on our ADR's.

Realize that even if you mention it on your ressies and at check in they may do nothing special. They are under no obilgation unless you pay for something special, like a birthday cake, and even then the only thing they have to do is bring the cake.

I believe that at the new dinner there is a wishing ceremony for special occations with the Fairy Godmother and the mice, not an individual ceremony, but one for all of the special occations in the restuarant. And there are no princesses for dinner, so they won't be able to "make a big deal" about anything like they might at breakfast or lunch.

I'm sorry to be so negitive I just don't want you to go expecting lots of magic and be really disappointed if you don't get it. They may very well do things like bring a card and decorate the table, but they might not. I wish that all Disney restuarants would offer a "party package" that could be reserved and paid for so people wouldn't get dissappointed
