Has anyone gone down a cup size when losing weight? How much did you lose before it went down a cup instead of just inches?
I'm so hoping the I'll go down a size as I lose weight.

Hi Jana!

I lost 110 pounds, but lost nothing from my chest until the last 10 pounds or so--then the weight seemed to *all* come from there!

I was a smaller B cup when I started, and as I lost weight, obviously my band size went continuously down, but my cup size stayed the same. Then when the last 10 came off (they were the hardest and took the longest), all of a sudden I went down to a AA/A cup! This may be a little TMI, but there's literally no fat in my breasts anymore--just tissue and the surrounding pec muscles (which I try to keep strong and lifted with weight-lifting). Now, don't get me wrong, if I had to choose between weighing 235 pounds and being a B cup or 125 pounds and a AA/A cup, I'd choose the latter, as I just feel so much better and I'm healthier. But hey, I didn't start out with much to begin with, and I kinda miss my girls! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Everyone's body will respond differently to weight loss, but that was my experience.

Good luck as you work towards your health and fitness goals, Jana! :)

You've got to remeber that cup size is relative to band size. IIRC you subtract the bust measurement from the below the bust measurement and the number of inches different determines your cup size. So, if you go down proportionally, your cup size can stay the same. Not really and answer, but something to keep in mind.

Hi there,

When I lost close to 50lbs last year I went from a 40DD to a 38DD. I've oly recently noticed as I try to get back to my WW goal weight that my 38DD is starting to pucker slightly. When your cup on your bra puckers, it usually means your bra is too big. I'm one of those that may loose a bit in the size around my chest (the 38 part) but I doubt I could ever go with anything smaller than a DD. Who knows though, maybe someday I can dare to dream to be a D!

when i gained weight in college and then lost it again i def lost a cup size. it was sad. But heck I have my cup size back and the rest of the extra weight isnt really fat anymore its muscle. sooo wooo hooo to that! everyones body is different so you might lose some cup size you might not.

edited: sorry i didnt know the b word was a bad word.

They say you lose weight down, and gain up!
Meaning when you lose, you first lose off your face, then chest...etc. going down to your legs.
When you gain, you gain on your thighs, bum, etc.. going up

Think that is true?

Nope- My chest is the last place to go lol.

I'll be glad to lose some sizes off my chest. I was happy as a 38b but am now a 40DD. Please let me lose them too!!

Okay, I can totally relate to this one.

I've currently lost 54 pounds and my chest and cup is definitely smaller. Before joining WW, I was wearing a 38D and now I'm about a 35(almost 34) C, but I have bought B size bras. Like luvmydog said, it's mostly just skin now and I'm actually considering getting a lift one day. I have been doing weight lifting for over a year and I don't think there is any way it'll ever be "up" again :guilty: But no regrets what so ever... I would take a smaller chest with a small butt anyday :teeth:

I lost 40+ pounds a few years ago (and am now working on the other 40). I have worn a D cup all along (since my kids were born and I gained weight) but have dropped from a 42 to a 38. I was probably really a DD at my highest weight, but refused to buy a new bra. I just this weekend broke down and bought a really nice supporting bra at Victoria's Secret (my first ever purchase there) because I was tired of my ****s being down at my waistline :rotfl: . After a lifetime (premarriage and kids) of wishing for a larger chest, I am now very sad to be a D and can't wait until I can possibly get down to a C again someday. So heres to wishing and praying that the ****s disappear along with the thighs, belly, and butt!!..................P

I've lost inches--but I only lost a cup post pregnancy---in other words....After I gained 12 cups (okay, not that many)......I was a double during pregnancy then went to a D post pregnancy and then went to my original cup size within 18 months after birth.

I will GLADLY donate breast tissue to those in need when they one day invent and refine the procedure.

With baby I was a DD...and went from 36 to 40....post preg.....after the initial "shock"....I went to a 38 D.....I have a very small above waist frame now...but my chest is still 36C (and sadly I wish to be smaller :(). Though I at least don't appear as busty as I did previously with the same size (if that makes any sense at all).

the decrease though involved about a 40 pound weight loss.

I just lost 10 pounds on Atkins induction- the only thing that looks/ feels loose is my bra. I was in a 36d cup- I think I need to go shopping for either a 34D or a 36 C- I am not sure which.
