Question about checking into AKL if you have a Savannah room

Do you need to check-in as soon as possible in order to get the Savannah room of your choice? (for example, if you wanted a view of the giraffe feeding station)

Also, can you request the location of your room when you make the reservation?

Yes you should add request to your ressie when making it or before the 30 day mark.

I think it's 3 to 10 days before the planners get them and start trying to fill request.

Others think it's all luck of the draw when you check in but I think the rooms are assigned at that point and time.
