Question about check-in/out days

I have been seeing people's check-in days and am wondering if they are always Mondays or Wednesdays. What days are check-out days? Can the CPs leave on a weekend day? Do they work up to check-out day?

My son just checked in Monday 23rd his check out date is Jan 7th which is a Friday

Each season has different check in dates. So it depends on the season. Fall 2010 is mostly Mondays and Wednesday. Check out this season is a Monday and Friday. Yes, they can work up to check out date. Therefore, I check out on the 7th. I can work the night of the 6th.

99% of the time, check in will be on Mondays and Wednesdays and check out will be on Fridays. Very rarely, the days will be on other days (for example, when my program ended in Jan, the program ended on a Saturday).

I think you're supposed to have off the day before you check out, so the people leaving Jan. 7th, will be off on the 6th. I was told during my last program that CPs aren't supposed to request off extra days during their last week. I'm not sure if that was just in my area, or everywhere.

I moved out a little earlier than my check in day, because I had the days off, I was staying with a friend for a while who is not a cp. When I talked to housing about it, they said you can leave up to 72 hours before your check in day.
