We will be there less than a month before DD's 11th birthday and she since she really wasn't able to have a great 10th birthday (medical issues) we thought we could celebrate the next one at Disney.

I know I need to call and have it noted on our ressie that we will be celebrating while we are there and make sure to get her a button. I am not sure where we would do her birthday dinner at, I need to ask her about it but not let on why I want to know. I want the celebration to be a surprise.

I was kind of hoping to make this really special for her since she has been through so much this past year. Does anyone know if I can get High School Musical themed stuff to celebrate? A cake or decorations or anything? Too bad I couldn't get a meet and greet with some of the cast.

TIA for any help or advice given.

Definately call (407) WDW-DINE. Tell the cm what you just posted and they can help you work it all out...from dining ressies to a spectacular cake and even a card with balloons delivered to your room (if you're on site). We did my DDs "Magical" birthday last year (she turned 6 on the 6th of April) and had ressies at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian, a cake you could just DIE for, and of course she wore her birthday button from the MK. Plus we stopped off at the barber shop on Main Street before we went for dinner to have pixie dust put in her hair!! It was a birthday experience that will be hard to replicate in years to come, but the memories and photos are priceless!! Good luck!

Hi! We celebrated my daughters 4th and 6th birthday in WDW. When i made dining ressies they asked if we were celebrating a special occassion and I told them at the time. We did the Mickey breakfast and they brought her a special place mat to keep and a cupcake and the characters came to the table and sang happy birthday to her. It was cool!princess:

I will definitely call at our 180 mark and see what I can do. I need to look into different cakes for her. I definitely want a cake even if its just at the resort we are staying at.

Like you, we celebrated our son's 5th bd at WDW - at a character meal at AK. After each of the characters had finished making their rounds circling the room, the CM then brought all 4 over to the table, and Goofy directed the entire restaurant in singing Happy Birthday to my son. He loved it. Then Donald presented him with a card, signed by the characters. Mickey gave him a dino-shaped water gun, and Pluto "licked" him. It was cool.

call 407-827-2253 to order a very special cake...They can deliever a cake to a special meal or to your room...They have tons to choose from...Hundreds of styles and flavors...They will help you choose one just for her...There is a cake thread for you check out all of the different cakes people have ordered... Go to the restaurant board to find the cake thread (near the very top)...

Make sure she gets her birthday button when you check-in at the resort or at any Guest Relations in the parks...

When we went with our son we had special note on all of our dining ADR that it was his birthday...Chef Mickey gave him a cupcake and placemat, Tony's decorated the table and gave him a big ice cream, Donald's breakfast gave him a card and brought him to the middle of the room to sign... Just a few ideas...

If she is into princesses, I would suggest 1900 Pak Fare for a special dinner and the cake.

We are also going to WDW in June to celebrate my sister's 40th Birthday (August) and my twin nieces' 3rd birthday (July)!! :cool1:  Can we celebrate their birthdays early? I would love to do something special. Anybody have any great ideas?

Sure you can :goodvibes

The Hoop Dee Doo is a fun thing that is great for all ages... The performers come down to ask who has a birthday or other special night... This is a fun way to celebrate a birthday...

Chef Mickey might also be a fun time for all...All three birthday girls will get a cupcake and placemat... We have seen young and old celebrating birthdays there....

Order a cake to suprise all of them ;)

We were in WDW on my DD's 13th b-day last summer.

Before we left on our trip I went to the party store & bought all sorts of Disney-themed b-day decorations to decorate our room with on the morning of her b-day. They had plenty of "princess" ones (banner, twirly things to hang from the ceiling, etc.) which worked great because for meals on her b-day, we were having:

Breakfast at CRT
Dinner at Akersus

After dinner, we took an Illuminations Celebration Cruise. The boat was decoarated with a banner & balloons. I'd also pre-ordered a b-day cake which had been delivered to the boat prior to our arrival.

**Also arranged for her to get a manicure at the salon at the Beach Club that afternoon.

Hope your DD has a magical day!

If my DD was into the princess thing I think this would be so much easier. ;)

She is a tomboy and just started liking girl things and the number one thing is Zac Efron and High School Musical. :headache: I might check out the party store and see if I can find some stuff to decorate the room with.

I will check out that cake thread this afternoon. I'm sure they can at least pipe "HSM" on a cake.
