Question about CB

Hi everyone. We are fairly new to Disney and planning our second trip. Four years ago we stayed at FQ and loved it. My hubby's only complaint was that the room was small. Well, fast forward to now and we are looking for a room to accommodate 5. (third child is a toddler) I was considering CB (even knowing about the construction) but am concerned of the size of the resort. Is it truly too big? I keep reading that it takes a super long time to walk anywhere. Would you recommend this resort or another moderate one? I might even just book FQ again b/c in reality, we spend such little time in the room. Thanks so much!

If your youngest child is age 3 or older Disney won't allow you to book POFQ. Have you looked at POR? They have some rooms that allow 5.

CBR is big, but how that affects people is different. I did not mind the size, although I did book a preferred room. My DD and DSIL hated it. The modern=aes that will accomodate you are CBR, POR, and The Cabins, which are more expensive than both CBR and POR. You will not be able to book POFQ.

We stayed at POR in the alligator bayou section. It had the pull down bed that my 10 year old slept on. Our room was close to the main food court/ lobby. It also was't to far from the bus stop.

POFQ is the smallest moderate, CBR is the largest.

Your party size can only stay at CBR or POR (Riverside) now. POR is the second largest.

If you spend little time enjoying the resort - size won't matter.

If CBR is giving gift cards during your dates that is something to factor.

I would look at POR - 4 bus stops vs. 7 at CBR, and no construction/closures to deal with there, unless discounts/GC being offered make it worth it for you. You can book a preferred room at either if you want less walking. If DH really wants bigger room, you will need to go w/CBR, since they are slightly larger(340 sq ft vs 314 at other moderates). I would look at the threads for both resorts on here so you can see the maps and look at your options for 5 person rooms in each, and decide which fits best for you. You will also see advice on best rooms to request for your priorities once you decide.
