Question about Castaway Club perks

Hi there!

what exactly are the perks of being a Castaway Club member? Can I make reservations for any of the Palo events (brunch, high tea or dinner) before getting onboard? what about the spa? thanks for all the answers!

well...you get a neat semi plastic card for one member of your family. (the membership card)One member of your family gets the stateroom gift (it is one per stateroom-currently a nice beach towel) you get two pins and invited to the CC reception. Thats it, no discounts, no ressies, no spa discounts..

You also will receive an invite to the Castaway Club party with free food and drinks.

When do you receive your invite to the CC reception? How do you get the invite?

The CC reception is held on different days on the different itineraries. It will be listed in your Navigator and you will also received an invitation in your stateroom a day or two before.

As long as it is noted on your ressie that you are a return cruiser the invite and CC gifts are automatic. You do not need to do anything.

Is this a benefit?? You become an addict - a DCL addict. As a Castaway Club Member you have first hand knowledge of how great a vacation a cruise on DCL is . You then have to spend more of your hard earned cash on your next cruise, and the one after that and the next one after that last one and so on and so on and so on.

We are Castaway Club members and are traveling with another family who are first time cruisers. I thought I read somewhere that we would be able to bring them with us to the Castaway Club party on board ship. Does anyone know if this is true?

Yes, you can most certainly bring them as your guests!!!!

Just an advice, get to the reception early!!! When we went on our 5/10 Western, it was packed to standing room only (think sardine can). It was kind of hard to enjoy the free food and drinks when you're trying to contain 3 little ones from creating havoc. I was surprised because I remembered the attendance was sparse on our previous trip.

The captain did say that he was pleasantly surprised that there were over 900 return cruisers onboard, when it's typically around 300...just our luck.
