I am now thinking our best option is renting a mini van for 3 days when arriving at MCO and going to Universal !! I know about the parking fee and I found a OK price !! My question is we are then going to Disney so do not want to return the van to MCO can we return it to DTD area ????

There are several car rental places in the Disney area....who are you renting with? We have done this option with Alamo in the past with no problems. Some of the rental agencies are in hotels around the DTD area if you are looking for Budget or Dollar. Sometimes places like Dollar charge a one way fee so be careful.

I think it was Dollar !!! I was checking out packages and added a car but the p/u and drop off were listed as mco !! What is a one way fee ????

I believe there is a rental car return/pickup at The
Swan/Dolphin, can't recall which company it is that is there though?

Thanks I did know there are other drop off spots !! I just thought DTD would be the best as transportation is easy from there !!
I have plenty of time to figure it out !! I am sure somebody has an answer for me !!!

We used Alamo and dropped it at the car care center (kind of outside Magic Kingdom)...and they drove us back to our Disney resort. A one way fee is when the rental agency charges you an extra fee for picking up the car at one location and dropping it off at another location. It will show up when you get a "quote" for a rental. I'm looking at rentals b/w mco and tpa in June (cruise out of Tampa/cheaper to fly into mco) and I noticed Dollar tacked on a hefty amount (one way fee) and alamo/national/budget did not.

Thanks this is something I will check before picking the company we rent from as the lowest price may be affected seriosly!!
