I, personally, don't have the Canon 135mm f/2.0 lens, but there are a lot of people who really love this one.

On fredmiranda.com, there are 368 reviews that totally rave about this camera, giving it an overall rating of 9.9 out of 10: fredmiranda.com

On the B&H Web site, there are 275 reviews that give an average rating of 5 stars (out of five stars): B&H

Here's another review from the-digital-picture.com that says that this lens is "highly regarded" and that "you will not be disappointed by the Canon EF 135 mm f/2.0 L lens" and here are some sample pictures from that website.

On Flickr, there are 25,576 sample photos from this lens.

I'm not sure if you've had a chance to check the Internet, but looks like there are TONS of reviews and sample pictures from this lens, and it seems like everyone who owns it really really loves this lens.

Hope that helps!

I rented it once for some indoor gym action. It is really good for low-light situations: swim meets, volleyball, basketball, hockey, stage productions, etc. If you can afford it, it will be a favorite of yours for several avenues of photography.

It is a very well built and sturdy lens.

I don't have it, but have heard great things about it.

Personally, I always rent a lens before buying it, to see if it works how I expect/want it to. There are a few places you can use online, but I always get mine from LensRentals.

You might just rent it for a week, and see if it meets your needs.

Thanks for all the info! I might be strange...but I love looking at sample pictures...I could do it for hours! LOL

I have one. I'll try to remember to post some pictures later this week.
I have the 135 f/2, the 70-200 f/2.8 IS, and the 85 f/1.2. I love all of them for different reasons. Compared with the 70-200, the image quality is noticeably better (it is a prime, after all). It is also much, much smaller and lighter. Having the extra stop can also be a big help in low light.

It also have several advantages over the 85mm. It feels more balanced (the 85 is kind ungainly). It focuses much faster. OK, you could say that about any AF ever made compared with the 85mm, but the 135 really does focus quickly. Overall, the image quality is on par, especially once they are both at f/2.8 or lower.

I bought the 85mm and was given the 135mm at roughly the same time. I had always wanted the 85mm and wasn't all that interested in the 135mm. Now that I have both, I think I use the 135 about 2 or 3 times as often as I use the 85mm. It has become one of my favorite lenses.

Ok...lol...I broke down and begged for it for Christmas. Santa thought I was a good girl, so he got it for me!
Plus...we are leaving for Disney in less than 8 hours so I am taking it along to play with! Yeah!
Merry Christmas!!!
