Question about cancelling Resort Reservation?

I currently have a AOA-LM reservation for 8 nights in November. But after discussing it with my family, we have decided to stay at POR. I paid the deposit for this room only reservation with a disney visa gift card ($90.00) and a personal credit card ($28.00). If i call and cancel, will the $90.00 be put back on my gift card and the credit card be credited $18.00? Does anyone know how long it will take to show up on gift card because it will most likely be a week or longer before i make the reservation for POR depending on when the general public discounts or free dining are released.

Yes, the deposit will be refunded the way you made it, so part will go back to the gc with the remainder going back on your cc. I have had refunds appear within 2-3 days, but that has been with a cc rather than a gc, so I'm not sure if a gc would be the same or if that would take longer to show up.
