I didn't know that you could camp at Disney! We are starting to plan our first family vacation there.

How much does it cost to camp there roughly, per night? (Average) We are a family of 3. Our travel trailor is 30 feet with 2 slide outs.

How close to the Disney grounds are you?

Do they offer transportation from the campground to Disney?

What hook ups are available at your stall for your RV/Camper?

I was looking at some of the pictures posted of the camping stalls, and I didn't notice any with fire pits. Do they have stalls with fire pits?

If you bring your pets, do you pay extra?

I am in Canada, so could someone PM me the phone number so I could call to inquire more about camping there? Or have a brochure sent to me?

What kind of things do they offer in the camping area to do?

Are some areas better then other areas on the camp ground?

Check out my Fort Wilderness Web Page (link below in my signature). I think it will answer most of your questions.

Cost depends on when you come and where you stay. You will need to stay in any loop BUT 1500 and 2000.
How close to the Disney grounds are you?

You are ON Disney grounds, this is one of their resorts.
Do they offer transportation from the campground to Disney?

Yes, by bus from the Outpost to all parks except the MK (Magic Kingdom) and Downtown Disney
From the marina, catch a boat to MK, Wilderness Lodge or the Contemporary.

What hook ups are available at your stall for your RV/Camper?

You have water, electric, 50 amp, 30 amp and 20 amp services and except for loop 2000 and 1500, sewage. Also, recently added Cable TV hookups.
Additionally, you can pay an extra $10 a day and have an internet hookup.

No open fires are allowed, but each site has a grill and picnic table.
If you bring your pets, do you pay extra?

Yes, $5.00 a day and you must be in a pet loop which seems to be all of they recently.

Go to Walt Disney World. com and request a free vacation DVD.
What kind of things do they offer in the camping area to do?

A ton.....2 pools, 2 stores with food and Disney goodies, fishing, boat rentals, horseback riding, pony rides, exercise trail, golf cart rentals, bike rentals, nightly movies, hay rides, carriage rides, Segway tour, buffet, fishing trips....and more.

Are some areas better then other areas on the camp ground?

Highly personal opinion...depends on what you like, i.e. close to activities, quiet, fishing, close to transportation, space, etc.

You've come to the right place for info. These folks are awesome.
And lastly...WELCOME!!!!! :yay: :yay:

Lots of questions I think you need to slow down.

Here are some resources to get you started so you can get oriented.

As for who to call. You call to book just like any other Disney Resort and it has all the same benefits as any other resort (transportation and such).

As for how far away you from Disney, well you are on property so you are already at WDW. If you are referring to the Magic Kingdom you are just a little further away than Wilderness Lodge.

Also in case you miss it, there are no fire pits as open fires are forbidden though some people have brought screened in pits and they seem to be allowed.

Welcome.....:goodvibes :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

You will get all of your questions....and some you didn't ask;) answered here!:)
