Question about California Grilll with the Disney Dining Plan

Quick question. What can you get at the California Grill if you are using the Disney Dining Plan?

I'm asking because if we go, I'd like to get just sushi (which is DELICIOUS there!). But it costs a lot less than getting a steak or something else. Which means it's not worth the price of 2 Table Service points.

Can you order two sushi dishes as entrees using the DDP?

Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

I'm assuming from this post that you are on the regular dining plan and not the deluxe.

You can order any sushi dish as your entree, but you can order only one, not two. You are correct in that the sushi costs less than most if not all of the other entrees, so you are getting what you may perceive to be less value on your two dining credits.

One thing you can do is just buy some sushi to go with your meal, but you do mention that all you want to order is the sushi. Another is to pay with DDP for one adult diner, and cash for the one who wants just the sushi. You could then use the two table credits you are saving for another one-credit meal for two adults.

We were on the deluxe plan in June. For our meal at CG we had flat breads, sushi and our entrees. We simply paid for the flat breads on our own. We used the sushi (not can be used this way) as an app.
