Question about BW

Is there a long FAQ thread about BW like some of the other hotels? I tried searching and came up with nothing. I am thinking of staying there the beginning of December. I am torn between BW and AKL. It is a tough decision. Thanks.

I personally would stay at the Boardwalk, But I was watching the travel channel last night and Disney's AKL was voted America's #1 family resort. If you are taking your children they may like AKL better than boardwalk, but then again BW has got a pool that the kids will love. I don't have any children so I don't know, but I would stay at BW just because of the night life and ambiance.

(If you do take your children to AKL ask for a Savanah view, this is where you can see the animals right outside your window)

A couple of things to consider:

1) What park will you like to visit the most?
2) Do you like nighttime action...at least a little?

If you like Epcot the BoardWalk is the way to go. The location is great - walk to Epcot, ferry to MGM. The nighttime entertainment there is quite nice. If you want a slower pace and enjoy Animal Kingdom the most, then go with AKL.

I personally would stay at the Boardwalk as I love the location. AKL although looks nice it seemed a little too far out in location for my taste. Plus there is so much to do around the Boardwalk, especially on an evening.

OK, so our DVC "home" is BWV so I would go to BW bcs that is where I can use my annual point allocation. So I voted for Boardwalk.

If I am staying for cash, no question: I'd do AKL. It's our favorite Disney resort ever! I just love the feel of the whole place.

So, coming down on both sides of the issue, and being no help at all.
