Hi there, guys!

We're planning a Jan. '05 trip to Disney world for our entire immediate and extended family. We'll be staying at OKW for 12 days (we're DVC owners), and plan to eat ALOT of counter service meals since the majority of our group are not sit-down restaurant friendly types (older folks who like plain food, kids who refuse to sit long in restaurants).

I've been planning our trip for a while now since I'm on bedrest for my pregnancy and have nothing better to do. I've figured out that we need approximately 75 Quick and Casual vouchers. Hotwire and the other online services only allow you to purchase 40 per year.

Is there a way to buy in bulk directly from Disney at similar cost to hotwire? Has anyone ever purchased that many vouchers for a single trip?

PLEASE, PLEASE help????

~Leigh

Have you tried contacting Disney's Group Sales Department? They might be able to point you in the right direction.

Otherwise, there is nothing to stop you from signing up for both Connections AND Hotwire Savings Club. By being a member of both, you would be able to purchase a total of 80 Q&C vouchers, which would be more than enough for your group. If you have no interest in maintaining both memberships, just cancel within the trial period to avoid any charges.

You can have other members of your family(i.e. your parents) sign up and purchase the vouchers so you can get the # needed.

You would be hard pressed to get $17.50 worth of food with a voucher.........the average savings is $2.00-5.00. We have used them everywhere and with the exception of the few favorite places you don't save that much. If you are just looking for a way to pre-pay you could just get traveler's checks.
OR
Like the OP above posted have other family members join to get theirs.

Paying $17.50 for kids is not saving money, nor would using a Q&C be saving money if you were going to purchase kids meals. When kids share adult meals it is a savings, even using kids VKL is not always a savings. You really have to do your "research" to account for savings. In large groups, or over many days the 2-3 per voucher does add up though. This doesn't work for everyone and should be considered what it is--an option to save under certain circumstances.

To OP just have one other person sign up for the Hotwire Savings plan as well, and then you can purchase what you want and cancel the memberships.

Just returned from a "group" trip to WDW in April. You have to be an organized group to get the vouchers directly from Disney. Not just a large family. School groups, church groups, conventions, etc. Also the voucher you get from group sales are $10.25 and don't include Pepper Market, Beaches and Cream or the "World" counter service places in Epcot. But if you think it will help here are the group sales contact numbers that I have:

Thank you for that info. We are visiting WDW in September for a workshop but they have not provided us any info yet. I had heard that some workshops provide vouchers for their participants. This helps....I need to do a little research before I call the organization and ask questions. Thanks! :hyper:

If your workshop is able to get the $10.25 vouchers, ask if you can order as many as you want. We were given 4 each with the package, but we could get as many extras as we needed. Some of the people didn't know this and wished that they had more than one meal a day paid for.

Thank you again!! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I was debating as to whether I should join a membership club to get the Q & C vouchers, or if I would be able to get them from the conference. I will give them a call and ask about vouchers! Thanks, I greatly appreciate the help!! :thewave:

Well, I called them and they said that my call was the first they had heard of vouchers and they did not know what they were...greatly disappointed!

Called again today and they have found that they must purchase the vouchers first and then "resell" them to the convention attendees and they are not willing to do that. I certainly understand, but... :sad1: I will have to go through one of the membership clubs after all!
