I don't really have the answer either, but just guessing from traditional prices, I would wonder if it wouldn't be cheaper to pick up several cards before travelling and carrying them with you? My guess would be that a card would be cheaper to buy at home than to pay for a disc at Disney. That's just my guess.
That's what I have been trying to price....
I have a brand new camera and its burning a hole in my pocket so to speak when it comes to taking pictures
I priced those storage devices where they store anywhere between 80-250gb off of any memory card plus have a viewer and other gadgets ~ the cost for a 120gb one is $300. I can buy 15 8gb cards (for a total of 120gb) for that much
On our last trip (with my old boring camera) I went just with my DD and I on a girls trip ... I took about 2 grand worth of shots in a week ...yup I am bad when it comes to photos ... but when I got home I deleted about 25% of those due to bad shots.
My brand new camera is twice the megapixels and can shoot in RAW wooohooo. I found me a point and shoot (canon G10) that can shoot in RAW and I love it!
I am really new to photography so I needed an option of P&S when in a hurry or I am not wanting to worry about all the settings but as I am getting more into photography I wanted the RAW option so I can learn and play!
It also isn't near as heavy or bulky as the DSLR. I do eventually want to get a DSLR but right now its just too much camera for me lol
The GS10 is 15megapixels and I either shoot in superfine jpeg or RAW which takes up so much space. I know I could go down in quality but then I lose the chance to do major cropping and post production. I am new to photography so I do have to do major edits on those shots I had thought turned out great lol
EXAMPLE would be this photo I took the other day of my DD birthday candle blowing out. I REALLY wanted that glowy candle look on her face ~ I didn't achieve what I was looking for AACKKK but I shot it in RAW and was able to fix the white balance to make it LOOK glowy (using a daylight setting) I know its a cheat but to the average person it looks DANG good! LOL
I should have used a reflector on the left side of the camera as that side of her face is a bit dark BUT because I shot it in RAW I was able to change the look completely of the photo ...IE ... shoot like a dummy but edit like a mad woman LOL
