Good evening,

I am going for my annual trip on Sept 4 to WDW. I currently have a Bounceback package with free dining, and a 7 day park hopper.

I am thinking of an additional multi family trip in April 2020, for Flower and Garden. This would bee 6-7 days.

If I upgrade my 7 Days to an Annual Pass, should I do that one day 1 or the end of trip??

1. Would I loose Free Dining due to upgrade.
2 Is the total purchase price with park hopper going to the upgrade price.
3. What day would memory maker take hold.
4. Does the Disney Visa discount apply to the upgrade.

Im thinking the AP will be worth it due to 13 Days total park time. The catch is I dont want to loose the free dining. If I change the reservation prior to arrival I worry changes due to Star Wars would compound the trip price. Hoping a simple upgrade is available.

Why does SW have to open 5 days before I go........

Park hopper price should be full value but presumably the value assigned at purchase, not currently when they upped the pricing.

Upgrade after check in and you shouldn't lose free dining.

Memory maker should take effect immediately.
No Disney Visa discount on APs.

Definitely upgrade on your first day. There are annual pass discounts on merchandise purchases & you will get the memory maker right away too. My understanding is that a ticket from a package does get credited at full current price, since it is from Disney Travel Company & is a different division from the parks. There is a ticket sticky at the top of the theme park board. I would check for there for the most accurate information.

I'm from the UK. I went in March on a package with dining (not completely free, just free breakfast)and I wondered if I could upgrade to an AP and keep the free breakfast and I was told that as the dining is linked to the room and not the park ticket that I could and I did it on the first day. I did it at Guest relations before I went into the park and it worked out that I paid the difference between what I paid for my 14 day Park Hopper and the cost of the AP and I kept my free breakfasts. It was worth doing from my perspective as I got all the discounts, including $30 off the After Hours Event. As you are going in September you would also get AP discount on MNSSHP if you upgrade then and that is on all the family's tickets, it's a small saving, but, better than none and all the savings add up over two trips. So worth doing.
