Question about bounce back

I have until Friday to use my bounce back offer. I have a trip in November and of course nothing I have booked has it. I noticed that a different hotel does have it, but only for one night which I don’t want to do. The room is only available that night, so I’m wondering if I were to book it and someone cancels more nights from there would I be able to modified my hotel to get the other nights with the discount? Or are my chances slim the discount would be offered on more nights? Has anyone successfully done that before?
