Question about booking

Planning to book resort pkg for next summer for me and DD7. I may be adding another adult to the pkg, but I won't know for sure until Feb or March. I like to book early so I can start payments. My question is this, will I have to cancel and rebook to add an adult later? Or should I add that adult now and remove them later if necessary?
