Question about booking with a code

OK Disney experts. . . I have never stayed on-site so only the kids and I are going in February and we want to stay at POP. I called today to make reservations and tried to use the new code that is available for the general public. The CM told me that the code was not yet in her computer. She said "those DIS people know about the codes before we do!" So I booked the room using AAA discount and she said to call back for the code. My question is when should I call back? I have seen others reporting using the code and getting the discount today. Should I call back this evening or tomorrow or both? I also just wanted to say "thanks a bunch" to all of you knowledgable people here on the DIS. I wish I had found you before our last trip but I am so greatful that I have found you before this one. I have learned a lot and still learning every day and saved a lot of money already. Thanks everyone!

Tink, the general codes have NOT been released yet..... Annual Passholder rates were released today which is why the CM told you to check back

I think the best way since you've already booked the room is to keep checking the resort board and mousesavers.com.

Once the DIS people on the boards have actual rooms booked under the code, then you can make your call to CRO.

Just re-read the information and looks like the general room-only code will be released thursday 10/21 In my enthusiasm I didn't read very carefully! Anyway the CM was impressed by DISers abilities. I guess I will be up early so I can call at 7 a.m. tomorrow. Thanks everyone.

p.s. Check out my new timer. I figured it out after the third try. You'd never know I work at home via computer and internet. I still seem to be technically challenged.

if i call in the morning for my feb room reservations, will i need to know the code myself and tell the cm what it is or can i just ask for the code discount? thanks. terry

When I made our reservation after reading about the post card code on the DIS. I just asked for the 'post card code' - with a very sweet voice - and got it. However, I DID get that post card in the mail afterwards, so I would have gotten it anyway.
