Question about Booking for January 2006

Hello again all

I'm currently looking to bring my parents down to WDW for their 30th anniversary...and I was looking at Jan. 2006. I took my gf down there as a surprise in 2004 and it was a great time of year, especially with crowds.

I was planning on booking about 2 weeks onsite, primarily at WL and possibly yacht and beach club for a few days.

I figure I should have a good pick of rooms this far out, right? But - my big question (in the list I'll probably be posting, hehe)...how do I get an AP discount for that time? Or are there tricks to get the AP rate this far out?

I've been reading through the posts and it looks like rates aren't available this early, so if I book now...do I just call them back in the fall?

Thanks in advance for any help or tips you can offer!

Chris :)

Yes, you would just call back when the AP rates are released and see if they can be applied to your reservation. It just depends on if rooms are available for the AP rate when you call.

Discounts--on average--are normally released about three months ahead of time. Here's a link showing when codes have been released in the past. Also, just because you reserve now does not give you any better room choice than someone who reserves a month or two ahead of time. Rooms are assigned 3-4 days before your stay. Just make sure any room requests are noted on your ressie. The first discount you would have a chance at are AAA which are normally released in mid-summer for the following year.

WL is great. You'll love it.
