Question about booking extra Fastpass

I know that once you have used three FP's you can book another one. But here is my question....If I go to a park in the morning where I only ever booked 2 fastpasses, can I go to another park in the afternoon and get a fastpass for that one? Or do I have to have booked 3 to start with? Should I just book a third fastpass in the first park even if I don't plan to use it, just so I can get one when I go to a different park? Hope that makes sense!

If you have park hopper, you can book two FP+ for one park ahead of time. As you scan your first FP+ in the first park, you can book you third FP+ in the second park without you being in the second park.
