My family is not very adventurous when it comes to food. We have never been to Boma before. I was thinking of trying something different for our next trip. Do you think this would work for us? It's not too far out there for a meat and potatoe family, is it?

Thanks!

Everyone at my table is a very picky eater. Just like you we are a meat and potato kind of family. And we LOVE Boma. We've had breakfast, lunch and dinner there, several times, and never a bad experience. The food is wonderful and we like the idea of trying something "new" but not outside of our comfort zone, i.e. "weird" food.:rotfl: It's so hard when people ask about food preferences, but give it a try. It may become your new favorite!

You will be fine eating at Boma :goodvibes. There are some things that are "different", but there is so much variety for everyone's taste that nobody will go hungry (even for the "meat and potatoes" kind). I have a picky eater and he loves Boma ;). The prime rib there is awesome :thumbsup2.

My kids are picky eaters and DH is definitely a meat a potatoes man. We LOVE Boma. Definitely give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed. :thumbsup2

Boma is my absolute favorite restaurant at WDW, the passionfruit tarts are AMAZING!! If you are worried about picky eaters there is a section of the buffet that has basics like mac and cheese and chicken fingers. But trust me once you try the food at Boma you will not want chicken fingers!!!

I'll be different. I didn't like it. To me everything that I ate at a sweet taste to it. I did enjoy the desserts. My husband did like it.

Hey Fort Polk! Former Army Brat previously stationed there, graduated in DeRidder, and parents still live there, dad still works at Polk with JRTC. It's a Small World.:goodvibes

I've never met anyone who didn't love Boma. They really have something for everyone.

just to clarify a prior post: Boma doesn't serve lunch. I can't recall that they ever served lunch, but for sure they don't now.

Boma actually has the best chicken fingers anywhere! I love most everything they have but I usually also get a chicken finger.

Boma is a family favorite with us!! And I have one picky DS 19 but loves eating there. My other DS 15 is not picky at all but we all love it & made sure to book it for our May trip. Actually we will be celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary there on May 25th!!:thumbsup2

My family loves BOMA but DH and I recently took another couple, who are rather picky. Although they didn't hate it, they would not return there. They didn't eat anything from the children's buffet but maybe they would have enjoyed that more.

It's still one of my fav's though.

Thank you all very much for your responses. I appreciate it very much. Seems like the majority like it, so I think we will give it a try!:thumbsup2

Boma is our absolute favorite place to dine at the World. There is plenty to choose from, and the soups and dessert almost make it worth going just for that. We took my in-laws on our wedding trip and they loved it. It was one of the best meals of the week. Like a previous poster mentioned the prime rib is great.

Boma is definitely one of our favorites as well...i was really worried before we went the first time that it would be too out there, but it really wasnt!! as several people have mentioned, they have the kids choices, but i also found plenty from the regular buffet that i enjoyed! we have returned EVERY trip since the first time we tried it, and are looking forward to it for our next trip as well! :)

My "meat & potatoes" guy said that no matter what we do on this trip in June, he wants to go to Boma and he'll be happy! :lmao:

My son (13 last year when we 1st tried Boma) and I are both picky eaters and when they say Boma has something for even the pickiest of eaters, they aren't lying! It's a multitude of choices! Give it a try!
