Hi! I am wondering if anyone has used an air mattress in a BCV one bedroom.

We are planning on using one on our trip in two weeks and are wondering where it might fit in the one bedroom. This would be for the fourth person in the room. DS is bringing a friend (17) this time and of course, the two young men do not want to sleep in the same pull out. My DS has often slept on an air mattress at Boy Scout Camp so he is used to it, but as we only stayed in a one bedroom once a few years ago, I can not remember where there might be room for this.

I think I have read in the past about other people doing this, but can not remember how it worked for them. Any suggestions or past experiences would be very appreciated! Thank you!:)

Last summer we were in a 2 bedroom BCV and used an air mattress in the king size bedroom (it was for the youngest child while the rest were on the pull out in the living room). It was tight but it worked and we had it set up in between the bed and the patio door. We also emptied it each morning. The best part was that the mattress actually came from the BC and they brought it up to our room along with bedding to go with it so there was no extra luggage. Good Luck!

We've had no problem putting an air mattress right in the living room area. In the morning, we just put it up against the wall to get it out of the way.

I always utilize the space next to the open sofa and between the bar area for our family's air mattress. You have to move the 2 extra chairs to the table area (which is nicer for dining at the table anyway). Then we push the coffee table to the other side of the sofa bed, next to the window. HTH

Thank you for the responses everyone. I was hoping we could keep the air mattress in the living room area since my son's friend will be on the pull out. I do not think he wants to be in our room with us, although I thought that might be the only available space.

Jillpie and dis-happy I am so glad it has worked for you in the living room area. Thanks!:)

Thanks Bobbi! :) This is our first time bringing a friend for our son (who is almost 17) so it will be a little bit different trip this time. I guess DH and I will be spending more alone time together. :goodvibes I do hope we will be spending all our TS meals together, though.
