Question about base tickets

Can someone tell me, if you have base tickets (no park hopping), can you go to the Magic Kingdom in the morning, for example, then go back to your resort in the afternoon and then return to the Magic Kingdom in the evening? Do you have to have your hand stamped or anything like that or can you just come and go from whichever park you chose to go to that day?

You can return to the same park during the same day, yes. They don't use handstamps any longer, just the biometric scanners.
