Question about Bahamas

DW and I are going to Sandal's Royal Bahamian for a few days in March. We have friends who will be at the Atlantis at the same time. My question is, how close are they to each other, and is transportation safe and available? We may also want to extend our trip and stay a few at Atlantis. This should all be do-able, right? Are they served by the same airport?
We've done many searches and gone to all the travel sites, but figured the folks here would probably know for sure.

From what I remember, the Sandals resort in Nassau is on Cable Beach, near where the Breezes resort is. If that's the case, then it is about a 15-20 minute taxi ride between the 2 resorts. You will have no problem traveling between Sandals and the Atlantis
