Question about arrival night dinner

I am not sure if this really goes in this forum, but.....

We arrive at MCO at 4:15. We are renting a car and staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek.

Barring flight delays, do you think we would be safe making a 6:30 ADR at Chef Mickeys? I really love the idea of getting to see the Fab 5 on our arrival night.

We wouldn't care about unpacking..... just need to get checked-in, drop our bags and head over to the Contemporary.

Am I pushing it? I could make the reservations for as late as 7, I think. I just don't want to be out to late on our arrival night because we have an 8:05 CP the next morning.

I think you can do it if you do not check in to the hotel. Can you tell them you are a late arrival, go to dinner and then check in?

We are doing that this week. We arrive about 6, have dinner at Fulton's and then we are checking in. We are renting a car as well.

I think you are cutting it really close. Since you are coming in around rush hr. I am assuming.....plus getting your rental car can take about half hr or more depending how long their lines are, plus driving time 30 minutes without much traffic....not enough time to check in at hotel. JMO

If I have any doubt, I go ahead and make my res. later and if I am ready sooner...I just check in earlier and they never had a problem seating me earlier then my res. Better this way vs. showing up late only to find out res. have been cancelled due to no show. Plus, I have also called the res. direct like Ohana and told them I was running a little late and they told me no problem and just moved my res. later.
