Question about apples

Is there anyway to prevent an apple from turning brown once I cut it? I thought about cutting it up and immediately putting it in a Ziploc bag, but I don't know if that would work. Someone suggested lemon juice sprinkled on the apple, but would it change the taste of the apple? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

Lemon juice does work and doesn't effect the flavor that much. You just need enough to coat the cut edges to prevent oxidation.
 
There is stuff at the grocery store that's made to do that. You mix it with water. Lemon juice or Sprite will do the same thing, and it really doesn't change the flavor.
