I'm considering purchasing AP for our trip in Oct. That way we have a reason to go again (atleast once) in the next 12 months. My question is ...I have 2 DDs one DD is only 2 yrs old. She does not have to have a ticket right now, but what happens after she turns 3? Would I have to buy her a ticket for our next trip or since I purchased the AP while she is 2 - would she be covered for the year? I only ask this because 2 years ago when we were at WDW, we were planning to use the MEARS for transportation. However, DD turned 4 while at DD - The CM I spoke to said there would be no charge for her either way since she was 3 when we started the trip. At that time MEARS would have cost us $60 I think and they didn't charge for children under 4.

I know you all will know the answer to this - that's why I'm asking you and not calling WDW directly.

As you said, your DD does not need a ticket at all while she's 2, but she will once she's 3. Depending on how many trips you'll take after she's 3, it might be better to just buy her a MYW pass for the later trip and have her go free while she's 2. Disney will certainly let you go ahead and purchase an AP for her now while she's 2 and she would be covered for it for a year from the time it's activated.

I hope this makes sense - perhaps I'm not understanding the question. :confused3

If you are only going back for one trip during the one year, you can apply the "Don't ask, don't tell" rule here. Unless your two year old is extremely tall for her age, they won't even ask.

Our younger son is short for his age and when he turned three we bought him an annual pass. When we approached the turn-style and inserted his ticket and said it was for him, the CM looked at him with a look on her face like "what for". We got this look more than once. Especially when there was a long line, but we wanted to get it activated so we would for sure have fast passes for him each day.

I would buy day passes for the second trip before I would buy an AP for one return trip.
