Hello All!!
I am super excited because my family, who just joined DVC in January, has started to plan their very first vacation 'home' to DVC Resort! (We have been to WDW since we joined, but used points to stay at the Poly.) Ok, just a quick question in regards to the amount of guests allowed in a 1 bedroom. Can we have 5? I have read that 5 are allowed to sleep in the room, but they will not provide any extra bedding. This is fine! I just want to be sure that our family of 5 will be allowed to sleep in the room. The 1 -bedroom will be perfect, and we do not need a 2 person room. Please let me know!

You will probably be directed to the very long occupancy thread. Anyway, we have a family of five and are permitted to stay in a 1 BR. To us right now it is plenty of room. My oldest son is a scout and has a twin self-inflating camping pad, and it is comfortable for him. There is plenty of floor room. My other two children share the couch bed. You will need to bring extra bedding and towels needed for the fifth person (or pay extra for a towel pack). My kids are still pretty small, so this works for us right now. Many people posting on this board feel the extra person is too much wear and tear on the room and not within the contract occupancy guidelines. We will continue to book 1 bedrooms until our kids are bigger or MS bans it.
