We are taking our first DVC trip this January and we will be staying in a studio savannah view in the Jambo House. When we purchased DVC we toured a Kidani studio setup. I was wondering if there is much difference in size between the Kidani and Jambo studios. Also are the Jambo house rooms as nice as the newer ones in Kidani? I know they were built a few years earlier

Except for the small "value" point cost rooms, studios in both buildings are about the same size, published sizes are 358 sq ft at Jambo, 359 at Kidani . It is the 1BRs where Kidani is much larger and has the extra bath. Layout in both studios is substantially similar.

A Jambo House Value studio is only 316 sq. ft.. I would consider that to be substantially smaller than the regular studios at either Jambo or Kidani.

One difference is that you can get a lower floor at Kidani than the studios or any DVC Villas at Jambo as the are all on the fifth floor. I would think this would matter if you are getting a savanna view. We ask for a second or third floor SV room for Kidani in order to have a closer view of them.

The studio bathroom setup is different. At Jambo, the sink is outside the bathroom, the shower & toilet are behind a door. At Kidani, the shower & sink are behind a door and the toilet is behind another door within there. The sink counter seemed a little bigger at Kidani. I think the Jambo setup is better for non-couples, someone could be at the sink while another is showering. At Kidani, there was a built-in closet across from the bathroom plus an armoire in the bed area. I think Jambo just had the armoire, I'm not positive.
