Question about AKL animal feeding

I tried a search, but didn't find what I was looking for.

If you are not staying at AKL, is there a place to go and watch the feeding time? If so, when and where is it? I know my giraffe crazy DD would love to see this when we go to Boma.

I don't have an answer for you but, just wanted to tell you something we noticed. Outside our room every morning the cast members would put the giraffe's food on the backside of a tree and the other animals' food on the backside of objects so that it would look like the animals were feeding naturally. I don't know all of the feeding spots but, they had them all along the room "trails". Try Arusha Rock when you visit; they probably put food out there...???

there are many places all around the hotel where you can see the animals. Arusha Rock goes out into one of the savannahs and there are balconies with rocking chairs all around the hotel, as well as windows that you can look out. Whether you will be there at feeding time is really the question, not is there a place where you can see. From what I remember from our visit, they usually feed in the morning, and then in the late afternoon. It is fun to watch the animals follow the truck around as is it putting out the food.

Yes you can. We live locally and go to view the animals at feeding time. The best time and place is at the Arusha rock area between 5pm and 6pm.
If the animals are out on the Savannah go down the hallways to either side and you will see doors every so often that lead to a small observation platform with chairs and scopes for viewing them.

And it's SO cool. You see a lot of animals, and some come quite close. It's a perfect fun thing to do before a dinner at AKL.

It's great to see them feeding the wildlife, before the restaurants feed YOU

When we stayed there July 04, the feedings were in the morning and evenings. Sorry don't remember the times. It is very interesting to watch the animals when they see the truck. If you ever get the opportunity to stay there I would highly recommend the hotel.
