Question about ADRs

The day my ADRs open is June 13, which is a Saturday. Bleah, I'll have to get up at 6 a.m. to make those reservations...we really want CRT, so I know I've got to do it! Anyway, I suddenly got concerned. Am I going to be able to make my ADRs myself, or am I going to have to have my travel agent do it? If it's the travel agent, I'm screwed - there's no way she's going to get up at 6 a.m. on a Saturday to make reservations for me - plus, I really want control over when/what the reservations are.

Am I going to have any problems?

Also, what's the secret to getting ADRs for CRT? We're arriving on Sept. 11, which is a Friday. So as soon as the CM gets on the phone should I just blurt out "I want CRT any morning of our stay" and will they know I'm staying on site, so they can look 90+ 10 days out?

You should practice using the phone to get the sequence down.

As soon as the CM gets on the phone-- yes-- I want CRT save the chit chat for after. (just remember that 90+10 days-- people who are there in the 10 days before you-- got reservations already.

So what about the travel agent issue? Am I going to be able to make my own reservations even though we booked through a TA?

If you have your reservation number, you should be fine. I called the day before my 90-day mark and got through (just to see how long it would take). As soon as the CM got on, I explained I wanted to make sure everything was in order for me the next day (since I'm renting from a DVC member). She said it was good to go!

Get your reservation number. Otherwise, you will not be able to do the 90+10 days for your ADRs.

Just my own experience from yesterday morning. I called at 7:00, got disconnected after holding for about 15 minutes (my fault), and then had to wait for about an hour or so after that.

I got CRT 8:20 a.m. for a party of 5 on our fourth day there. No problem at all.

I used a TA to make my hotel booking, but with my reservation number, had no problem making my own ADRs. I was in the same situation as you with a Saturday ADR day and wanting an early CRT reservation. I had to call in at 6:00am as well, since I'm in the tiny part of FL that is Central time. No way I was going to leave that up to a TA to handle, lol.

Anyway, I had no problem getting all the ADRs I wanted, including CRT at 8:05am.
